Customer Admin Portal reference

The TeamsPIM Customer Admin Portal is where you manage licences, Azure access and additional directories for your TeamsPIM subscriptions. Its sign-in page reads “Manage licenses, subscriptions and Azure access for TeamsPIM across your tenant.” Sign in with your work account. The landing page links to the portal after you submit your activation request.

The portal needs admin consent for TeamsPIM in your tenant. Without it, sign-in shows “Your organisation hasn’t approved TeamsPIM yet.” or the pages show a consent banner.

Only the person who bought a subscription, or an administrator they added in Subscription Settings, can manage that subscription. Anyone else sees “You do not have access to manage this subscription.”

Item Purpose
Overview Activation status and a summary of your subscriptions
Licenses Assign and remove TeamsPIM licences
Subscriptions > Microsoft Subscriptions / Xertone Subscriptions Read-only lists of your subscriptions
Azure Resources Assign TeamsPIM to Azure subscriptions
Subscription Settings Administrators and additional tenant IDs

Your name at the top right opens a menu with Sign Out. The portal follows your device’s light or dark setting.

Licenses, Azure Resources and Subscription Settings work on one subscription at a time. Choose it in “Select a subscription” at the top of the page. Subscriptions are grouped under Microsoft (bought on AppSource or the Azure Marketplace) and Xertone (bought directly). A suspended subscription still appears in the list.

  • Activation tracker. While your activation request is in progress, a banner shows Waiting for review, Setting up your workspace…, Your workspace is ready! or Setup failed. See Review and provisioning.
  • Consent banner. If TeamsPIM has no admin consent in your tenant, you see “TeamsPIM has not been approved for your organisation yet.” with Grant admin consent and Copy link.
  • Your subscriptions. Cards for your Microsoft and Xertone subscriptions, each with name, plan, status and “Total Licenses”.
  • Subscription summary: plan, quantity and term.
  • Counts: Members, Assigned, Unassigned and Plan Licenses.
  • Users tab: search with “Search by name or email…”, filter with the All users / Licensed only switch, and turn each person’s licence switch on or off.
  • Groups tab: search with “Search groups…”, select members or Select all members, then Assign selected or Unassign selected. Licences go to each member, not to the group.

Details and rules: Assign licences.

Two read-only lists with a search box:

  • Microsoft Subscriptions: TeamsPIM subscriptions bought through Microsoft AppSource or the Azure Marketplace.
  • Xertone Subscriptions: TeamsPIM subscriptions bought directly from Xertone.

Plan and seat changes are made in the Azure portal or the Microsoft 365 admin center, where Marketplace subscriptions are managed; see Manage your subscription.

Lists the Azure subscriptions your account can access in the tenant chosen in “Select a tenant”, with Search and refresh. Each Azure subscription has Assign or Unassign, which gives or removes TeamsPIM’s access to handle PIM requests there. See Azure resources.

“Manage users who have administrator access to this subscription.” Administrators can manage this subscription in the portal alongside the purchaser, including assigning licences.

  • Search for people under “Add administrators” (“Search users…”), select them, then select Add.
  • “Current Administrators” lists them. Remove one with the remove button next to their name.

“Up to 10 tenant IDs in total, including the subscription’s own. Each tenant must grant TeamsPIM admin consent before it can be added.” Use Add tenant to open the “Add a tenant” dialog. The subscription’s own tenant is marked Subscription tenant and cannot be removed. See Additional directories.
